Revival of Chooridaar: A turn towards eastern culture

Every latest trend that emerges in the field of fashion usually brings an essence from past tradition. It not only forms a connection between modernity and culture but it also enhances their appeal for the people through their exotic and breath taking combinations. The major spin from Q-lots of 60’s and 70’s to lavish chooridaar of Mughal era is certainly one of the most warmly greeted trends. You do not have to go to your tailor with a fashion magazine to make him understand the kind of pajama you want. Moreover you do not have to risk your preliminary one/two suits to get your third one better stitched. Chooridaar is an all time favorite. Chooridaar is the amalgamation of style and subtlety. No other trend can make you look so magnificently feminine like chooridaar do.
Chooridaar do not restrict you to wear any particular kind of shirt but it can be wore with straight shirt, Anarkali frock, Angrakha but nowadays, open shirt and chooridaar is considered the best combination. It’s not only classy but traditional as well. Whether it is long flowing frocks or open shirts, chooridaar does remind us of royal princesses and luxurious aesthetics of Mughal era.
The impression of chooridaar being a formal wear has altered now. Chooridaar is equally appropriate for both casual and formal wear. Infact, in casual wear it makes you look more elegant. White chooridaar with vibrant colored long shirts or frocks have made this summer very lively and multihued. Undoubtedly, Chooridaar has rejuvenated the elegance and sophistication that women were losing in Q-lots and trousers.
Obviously khussas and kolha puri with chooridaar is a marvelous combination but the best thing about chooridaar is that it gives you freedom to wear any type of shoes from stilettos to flats. Its magnificence makes anything look fascinating.  This turn towards eastern culture is not strict and stringent. Infact chooridaar has proven that eastern culture has the propensity to blend with modernity.

Tail hems dresses longer at the back

The tail hem: what is it?

A shirttail hem is traditionally cut shorter on the sides, with a longer 'tail' at the back. In 2011 the trend is more than just a shirttail hem, however: it's any manner of dresses, skirts or tops that have a hem that's shorter in front, longer in back.

Why a tail hem?

The appeal of a dipping hem is that it's playful. One side coveys the elegance of length, while the other hints at something more revealing. It can also have the appeal of looking completely effortless; especially if cut to resemble an untucked shirt, or an oversized tee.

Types of hem

There are numerous ways of creating a unique hemline with a 'tail' effect. Here are a few examples:
  • A simple hem cut at an angle.
  • A more traditional petal hem (where the fabric overlaps in front like petals of a flower)
  • A hem that's cut from very short to very long - i.e mini to maxi.
  • A hem that falls into large drapes or pleats at the back.

This Year Pleats are in Fashion again

Invariably, every season something hits the catwalk that's pleated. But what particular types of pleats should you be on the look out for in 2011?
Most dominant as a2011 fashion trend are knife pleats and their cousin, the sunray pleat. Knife pleats are single pleats that all go in the same direction; sunray or sunburst pleats are knife pleats that are cut to start smaller and get wider towards the bottom, creating a flared-out effect.http://www.harpersbazaar.com/cm/harpersbazaar/images/hbz-pleats-trend-spring-2011.jpg
When you're looking for a statement, pleated item we're tipping our hat towards dresses. In particular, the maxi dress and the very-on-trend long shirts. If a pleated maxi dress isn't your thing, look then to midi and knee-length dresses.
You'll note that we've excluded shorter hem length so far. They can work, but this is a trend that is about early 20th century influences and a sense of elegance, or a contrasting sense of 70's glamour. Shorter pleated items will come back in, but it's too early for a school-girl skirt revival just yet.

Tassels: the return of luxury trimmings

The tassel. What we may think of now as a humble little decoration turns out to be steeped in history and implication. Can you imagine spending days, weeks, months creating a single tassel? Once an artform, the tassel and its connotation of luxury returns as the adornment du jour, a 2011 fashion trend that offshoots from the military and historical influences of seasons past.
If you think of tassels only as a furniture trimming, think again. Tassels originated thousands of years ago and throughout their history were used as symbols of status: both military rank, and religious order. In 16th and 17th century France passementerie, the art of tassel making, was a booming one, with ornate handmade tassels representing wealth and power: no palace interior was complete without silk tassels dripping from its rich brocade curtains and velvet cushions. But once the 20th century rolled around and moderation became the new aesthetic, the days of ostentatious trimmings faded sadly away.
Now, in a time of global instability and flux, we return to luxury. But as we see it, luxury as craftsmanship. It may be in the minimal yet beautifully crafted aesthetic that's prominent right now, or it may be in a little ornament, the tassel, that carries connotations of opulence - but that sits well and truly on the opposite side of glitzy. So when it comes to investing in pieces with tassel detailing, quality is key: a well-made tassel, be it silk or leather, carries that sense of luxury and authenticity.

The tassel in 2011

While it's been a constant to see the odd, small tassel on leather accessories like handbags and purses, we're now seeing them prominently - oversized, extra long, brightly coloured or made to stand out in some way. And it's no longer just handbags:  they're on everything from shoes to dresses to belts and hats.

Punk fashion: elements of influence

We like to write about certain kinds of fashion trends at Fashionising.com. Trends that marry all the qualities of an appealing lifestyle, that marry together quality craftsmanship, elegance and an an attitude towards a life that indulges the senses and you know roughly where our tastes lie. Hence there is many a trend we opt to simply not push - stand for everything and you stand for nothing. Despite this there are some fashion trend in 2011 which, despite being unlikely to indulge in ourselves, we simply can't ignore. And that's because they have an impact on other trends that are important to us.
One such trend is punk - a trend that last emerged in 2010 and one that will continue to influence the fashion aesthetic of 2011 and potentially beyond. Partially filling the vacuum left behind by done and dusted trends, such as the likes of military, gothic and grunge, it's punk's ability to impact on other trends, such as 2011's motorcycle chi trend (the stronger and more versatile of the two trends), that makes it worth watching and noting.

Bell bottoms: the return of flared jeans

It's about this time every year that the world at large, and not just those in the know such as yourself, start to look to the new year's trends and ponder about the larger direction of clothing. Every December we see this fact played out time and time again, both in the correspondance we receive and in the activity across Fashionising.com, with questions such as are skinny jeans still in fashion becoming increasingly frequent. And the short answer is: yes, skinny jeans are still in fashion - they're going nowhere, at least in terms of trends, fast. But while that's a fact,2011's fashion trend show the inverse to be true: flared jeans and flared trousers are back for both men and women for as a spring 2011 fashion trend.

Importance of Self Grooming for Girls

Self grooming forms an integral part of a girl’s personality. In fact, grooming is an essential building block of a girl’s personality and it is through grooming that a girl learns how to mesmerize and spread her charm and charisma all over. Self-grooming occurs when a girl pays attention to her grooming and style herself and makes herself stand out amongst the crowd by applying the finest methods of self grooming.
Self grooming not only adds confidence and sophistication into a girl’s life but it also makes her feel good and look good all the time and also, self grooming makes a girl more adaptable to the different environments and allows more flexibility in a nature of a girl. Today’s world is becoming extremely competitive and for girls it is particularly important to focus on their self grooming so that they can make their mark wherever they go may it be their personal lives or professional lives. Indeed, self grooming is crucial to all aspects of a girl’s life.
Beauty, health and hygiene are the key players in self grooming. Almost all the basic self grooming methods and techniques revolve around these three primary factors of self grooming. For a girl, it is extremely important to maintain great health, perfect hygiene levels and original beauty in order to flaunt the world with the pure essence of femininity that God has gifted to her. If we look at these factors superficially then we may find it challenging to cope with all of them at the same time for self grooming but with correct knowledge and a will to improve your personality with self grooming nothing remains challenging at all, in fact, things become much easier and you start loving yourself more.
As far as health is concerned in self grooming, start off with a balance in whatever you eat. Stop relying on crazy crash diets and anorexic habits and move on to healthy habits by eating everything even the junk food but in a proportionate manner. Remember that self grooming subliminally teaches you how to bring proportion and balance in your life and makes you get ready for your future life when you will have your own family and you are going to be the supportive factor for your entire family Make it a habit to prefer natural stuff over artificial and synthetic food items when it comes to self grooming for eating food. Don’t be an extremist and don’t skip meals ever. Rather, it is always better to take small proportions all at different timings during a day.
The secret of self grooming for beauty lies in just being you and drinking lots and lots of water. There is no substitute for originality and self grooming is all about just being yourself and developing your own comfort zone with all kinds of environments. It is a big mistake when girls especially during teenage years think that they are going to look good and self grooming would be great if they do an over dose of makeup and accessories. This is utterly wrong. Excess of everything is bad and self grooming simply minimizes it to the lowest levels. Try to evoke the inner your and show it to the world. Develop healthy habits through self grooming that will make you shine from the inside. When you will have a glowing complexion, fresh skin and smooth hair; believe me no makeup can ever make you look more beautiful and that’s the promise of self grooming for beauty.
Last but not the least, good hygiene is a necessity of each and every human being for self grooming and if you want people to stay near you and be more loveable to you then self grooming about hygiene is very important. Well cut nails, trimmed hair, neat clothes and a clean look overall is very important for self grooming. Girls who have untidy nails with smudged nail polishes, split ends in hair and tacky clothes show that they are in desperate need of self grooming.
It should also be kept in mind that self grooming is not about expensive accessories, cosmetics or other stuff, rather; self grooming simply teaches you how to be more adaptable to your surroundings and how to make your place in a competitive society of the modern day. Therefore, being a girl, just polish up your health, hygiene and beauty with simple self grooming tips and shine out amongst all the other around you.

Some helpful manicure tips for great nails

You might come across many saloons who would say that you cannot do French manicure at your house and you cannot have those great nails without going to a saloon. M not saying that those nail treatments are of no use, but my point is when you can care for them yourself then why not give it a try and save plenty of your money which can then be spent on other products. Thus in this article I will tell you some of the simplest manicure tips which is likely going to benefit you a lot.
The first and thus the most important manicure tips has to be careful about your nails. Most people are not aware how to cut their nails, they often cut them back and forth from the corners and end up having bad shaped nails. Thus the nails are then most likely going to be worn out and break in quite some time. You should use a metal file in order to get the right shape of your nail, you should use the filer back and fourth and make it even form the center.
The second manicure tip is a common mistake which we all do. We often neglect the cuticle part and never penetrate it, it is advisable if you get a cuticle softener which is available in all types of brands and thus massage and penetrate you cuticles once in week while you are massaging your hands. You can also use different types of oil for this.
Make sure before you apply your nail polish you do not peel away the cuticles. This is a great manicure tip. When you peel your cuticle then it is likely going to weaken your nail and they are not going to grow. Make sure you replace your nail polish every 5 days, because too many coats will dehydrate your nails and thus they will become dry and will change color. A last manicure tip is that you buy a good brand nail polish so that it doesn’t dry up your nails.

Fashion of Hair Styles for Men This Year

Men’s hairstyles 2011 are all about keeping cool. There are number of hairstyles which can be counted in summer hairstyles for men like Ryan Gosling’s hairstyle, Front Wave hairstyle and Square and Trendy zigzags.

2010 hairstyles for men were all about looking as polished as possible. For those who hated the “side part” will be pleased to know that men’s hairstyles 2011 are all about keeping it cool. Which also means that you no longer need to be stressed out because of waves in your hair and you don’t have to rush to the barber after every 10 days.
Summer hairstyles for men obviously mean that you don’t want to have them too long and would prefer to have them out of the way. Ryan Gosling’s hairstyle can be a very good example of summer hairstyles for men. The 2010’s side part has been given a piecey look in 2011. You side part doesn’t have to look like you used a ruler to part it. Use some hair wax and give your hair a rogue look.
Were you an admirer of Front Wave hairstyle which was so commonly seen in old movies of the 1980’s? Well, men’s hairstyles 2011 is bringing it back! Mark Wehlberg has really carried this hairstyle in a classic way. The wind-swept look makes gives you a look which no other hairstyle can.
This is also one of the summer hairstyles for men because you need medium length hair for it. You can give your hair this look by applying mousse on them while they are wet and shaping them with the help of a blow dryer and your fingers.
Summer hairstyles for men have also brought some hair do’s for formal settings. One these trendy men’s hairstyles 2011 is an elegant front wave combined with a slightly wet hair look. Gel is the right hair product for this hairstyle and it goes well with dressy attire like formal suits. Use a comb to give your hair a perfect front wave and nail one of the best men’s hairstyles 2011.
The hottest summer hairstyles for men among blacks are Square and Trendy zigzags. Black men can have their hair cropped short in a perfectly square shape. This is one of the best summer hairstyles for men. This hairstyle is another come back from the 1950’s and you can also check out Jon Jone’s haircut to have a fair idea of this trend. This hairstyle gives you masculine look!
You can also ask your barber to draw asymmetrical or zigzagged lines on your cropped hair. This looks super cool on blacks!
If you are crazy about long hair and don’t care about the heat then go for the one similar to James Franco’s. Let your hair grow, grow, grow! Ask your barber to give layers to your hairs and you are all set! Use wax if your hair are thick and mousse if you hair look a little lanky. Separate strands and let them look cool in an un-kempt sort of a way. Men’s hairstyles 2011 is all about keeping it cool!

What can Home Spa do to you?

Do you feel tired and irritated every evening? How about Home Spa?
In our present life with a torrent of constant worries and straining pressure, we get little time to take care of ourselves. Take a second and think about what is the point of stressing out yourself when we don’t have time to pamper ourselves. Individual indulgence sometimes helps to clear our head of all the tensions of daily life. To get a healthy lifestyle with low stress one should opt for the benefits of a spa.
If your financial resources do not allow you to go for an expensive spa, you can always create a home spa yourself with little things that are easily available in every house. In addition it does not even take much time.
First things first! Time is what is required for a home spa, just take some private time exclusively for you. Get rid of your cell phone and gadgets; make sure no one disturbs you for a little while so you can create a healthy home spa.
Next thing needed for a home spa is a bath room with a tub which gives a calming and steamy soothing effect. Also get some floating candles or scented ones to give a serene effect which helps you to relax and indulge in the beauty of the moment of your home spa.
Arrange for a music system for home spa too if possible. You will realize how much your favorite songs help you to leave all the stresses behind and feel like there’s nothing more important than one’s own self.
Take care of your sand body with body scrubs that help you exfoliate and take advantage of variety of skin oils. Use the fresh bubble baths and feel like a happy baby again! While relaxing in your home spa start nourishing your hair with a conditioner or the fudges. Remove all the signs of daily grind, scrub your feet and feel normal again. Buy a self massager and lighten yourself, loosen all the tight muscles and experience the freshness.

Prefect Purse can Chnage Your Personality

Some of us underestimate the power of the purse. I do not mean this in the economic or the financial sense. What I meant to say is that most of us women consider the purse as something to hold whatever items we need to carry with us whenever we go out.

But the thing is, beyond being a container for our lipstick, our car keys, wallet, and all those things we could not possibly survive a trip outside our houses without, a purse is a fashion accessory, and a powerful one at that too. A purse underscores your look and highlights the curves of the body. We may not realize it, but whoever looks at us most likely gets his or her eyes drawn first to the purse we are carrying. Therefore, a purse can build your look up or demolish it entirely.

Thankfully, finding the perfect purse that will flatter the body is not as hard as we thought it is. The key to finding the perfect purse is proportion: you should always match your purse with the size and shape of your body. The general rule is that large bags go with large bodies, while small bags go with small bodies.

If you are short and slim in build, you should pick a bag that is small and holds close to the body. Never get a big purse because it will drown you and make you appear lost beside it.

If you are the type that is tall and thin, a medium-sized bag will work best for you. In choosing a shoulder bag, though, pick something that fits nice and close under your arm and against your waist. Bags like that will create the illusion of curves on your lean body and will draw the eyes to your face.

Ladies with big hips will want to draw the eyes to the face and away from their lower bodies as well. The kind of bags that will do that trick for them are shoulder bags that hang just above the hips.

On the other hand, ladies with top-heavy figures will want to draw attention to their legs instead of to their upper bodies. Messenger bags, bags that have long straps or perhaps a handbag will do that for them. The size of the bag that will work best for top-heavy ladies is the slightly large one.

Plus size girls should stay away from bags that are too small; bags that are too small will only make them look bigger. They should avoid shoulder bags, but instead go for bags that are just a tad wider.

If you have that perfect hourglass figure, then any kind of bag is perfect for you. Any bag you choose would be flattering to your body. However, remember that the rules on proportion still apply even to ladies with the perfect curves. Do not get a bag that is too large or too small for your body.

Always remember that proportion is the rule for finding the perfect purse. Keep this in mind and the perfect purse will never be hard to find.

Jamawar and Katan have never actually gone out of Fashion

Revival of Jamawar and Katan gives a blend of traditions, customized to give comfort and affection to its valued customers.
Jamawar and Katan have never actually gone out of fashion Still, there have been efforts to revive this exquisite material for formal wedding dresses in women. Revival of Jamawar and Katan gives a blend of traditions, customized to give comfort and affection to its valued customers. The word “Jama” implies a robe and by “War" we mean yard. This woven material was named Jamawar because of its high preference by the Kings and the elites. It is worn in the form of a shawl to be wrapped around thus the trade name “Jamawar”.
This impressible wool with a mixture of cotton is an elegant material and therefore Jamawar is demanded highly these days for pishwas bodies, chudri dar pajamas and for the colored panels in A-line shirts.
The revival of Jamawar has provided us with an extensive variety of colors and complex designs.
Other types of Jamawar shawls include: Rega-butta-which have small floral patterns; Kirkh-Buties-these designs have large floral outline and Jaldars-they have net like design. The original Jamawar shawls are however expensive to buy.
Today, many embellishments are made in Jamawar with sequins, dabka work, goata, beeds and swaroski crystals. Tapestry is also used to enhance and decorate the woven pattern. Some Make up Tips

Apply makeup does not need to be difficult. In order to maintain the most beautiful appearance, however, it is important to know what you are doing when it comes to makeup. Below are the best 15 makeup tips that you should know about.
Best 15 Makeup Tips
1. Don't feel as though you need to be a fashion slave. Following the current makeup trends may be okay, but if you feel uncomfortable, don't be afraid to be an individual.

2. Opt for natural shades of makeup whenever you possibly can. Wearing vibrant or bright colors is not a bad thing, but it is also okay to be yourself.
3. Sometimes, having fuller eyebrows looks the best. It is best to make sure that you are not going overly thin with them.
4. Never be afraid to experiment with different shades of makeup to find out what looks the best on you. Something that you may be afraid to try out could be what will complement you the most.
5. Always be sure to blend your concealer in well or you are going to appear as though you have a face mask on.
6. You may want to consider using brown or gray eyeliner. Black does not always appear very natural and can actually bring a lot of attention away from your eyes.
7. Make sure that you have a regular skin care routine that you use if you want to have the most beautiful skin. This includes cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing. If you neglect these three steps, your skin may experience certain problems, such as acne, dryness or excessive oil.
8. When choosing concealer, make sure that you opt for the shade that is closest to your own skin color. Shades that are too light or too dark are likely to stand out.
9. Make sure that you get rid of your makeup after a certain amount of time or it will begin to develop bacteria. It is important to make sure that you keep track of when you purchase your makeup. Mascara, eyeliner and eye shadow should not be kept any longer than six months. Other types of makeup should be thrown away after one year.
10. Apply your eyeliner first, your eye shadow second and your mascara last. This will help prevent your mascara from streaking.
11. Do not choose blush that is too red. It is always best to opt for a lighter peach or pink shade for the most natural look.
12. It is always best to avoid matching your lipstick color to your eye shadow color. It is likely to take away attention from your face and focus more attention on your matching makeup colors.
13. Although matching your makeup to your clothing may seem like a good idea, sometimes it is best to choose colors that complement you best.
14. Learn what shades of eye shadow make your eye color stand out the most. For blue eyes, try whites and browns. For green eyes, try grays and purples. For brown eyes, try blues and blacks. It really does depend on your own eye color, however, so it is best to experiment.
15. Always be sure to remove makeup before you go to bed at night.

Mehndi ;always in Fashion

Mehndior menhdi  is the application of  henna as a temporary form of skin decoration in whole world, as well as by expatriate communities from the country. The word mehndi is derived from the sanskrit word mendhikā.The use of mehndi and turmeric is described in the earliest vedic ritual books. Haldi(Staining oneself with turmeric paste) as well as mehndi are important Vedic customs as a symbolic representation of the Outer and the Inner Sun. Vedic customs are meant to awaken the "inner light and so the gold of the inner Sun has an important symbolic function.
Traditional mehndi designs draw the sun on the palm, which in this context represents the mind. Mehndi decorations became fashionable in the West in the late 1990s, where they are sometimes called henna tattoos. Henna is typically applied during special occasions like weddings and  festivals like.In some festivals, every woman tries to have Henna done on her hands and feet. It is usually drawn on the palms and feet, where the color will be darkest because the skin contains higher levels of keratin which binds temporarily to lawsone the colorant of henna. Henna was originally used as a form of decoration mainly for brides.
In the modern age, usually people buy readymade Henna cones, which are ready to use and make painting easy. However, in rural areas in India, women grind fresh henna leaves on sil (grinding stone) with added oil, which though not as refined as professionally prepared henna cones, brings much darker colors.
The term henna tattoo is figurative, because true tattos are permanent surgical insertions of pigments underneath the skin, as opposed to pigments resting on the surface as is the case with mehndi.
Likely due to the desire for a "tattoo-black" appearance, many people have started adding the syntheti (PPD) to henna to give it a black colour. PPD is extremely harmful to the skin and can cause severe allergic reactions resulting in permanent injury or death. Alata (Mahur) is a flower-based dye used to paint the feet of the brides in some regions of world.

Benefits of using Night Cream

Using and applying a night cream should be an integral part of your skin care routine once you reach 30s. Night creams are specially designed to nourish and improve your skin while you sleep as these creams contain lots of nourishing, moisturizing active ingredients. Night creams or serums are especially beneficial for those past 30 as their skin begins to show the first signs of aging – fine lines appear, the skin becomes drier and less elastic, skin begins to look dull and patchy.

It’s proven that the skin’s ability to absorb active ingredients peaks at night and skin loses more essential moisture at night – that’s why you should help your skin restore itself by applying a night cream that will allow your skin to absorb more nourishing, moisturizing and anti-ageing ingredients. Due to the active ingredients these creams contain, they not only nourish and condition the skin, but they also repair damage caused by free radicals, make up , air pollution, sun’s rays.
What are the benefits of using and applying night creams?
* nourish and revitalize the skin
* supply moisture and hydration
* sooth and calm the skin
* promote even complexion and finer texture
* boost collagen and elastin production
* improve blood circulation
* reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, discolorations
* prevent sagging of the skin
* make skin soft, smooth and supple
* improve the appearance of aging skin
* help skin recover faster and restore skin’s elasticity
* stimulate cell renewal
The main difference between a day cream (moisturizer) and a night cream is the ingredients these creams contain. Day creams are lighter in texture and contain ingredients that moisturize and protect the skin from the harmful UVA and UVB rays (with SPF 15 or higher). Night creams contain more nourishing, anti-aging active ingredients that stimulate cell renewal, restore skin’s elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Night creams are thicker in texture and usually don’t offer sun protection.
How to choose the best night cream for your skin?
It’s crucial to choose a night cream that suits your skin type. Never buy too thick formula as it may damage your skin instead of repairing it – if the cream is too thick or too oily it may clog your pores, leaving your skin unable to breathe naturally. No matter your skin type or age you should look for a lighter texture that is hypoallergenic (won’t cause allergic reaction), non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores), fragrance-free.
20s
Look for a moisturizing night cream that contains more natural ingredients – essential oils, honey, aloe vera, chamomile. If your skin is oily or combination look for a lighter formula that is oil-free and non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores) with alpha or beta hydroxy acids.
30s
Once you reach 30s you should look for a richer night cream that contains anti-aging active ingredients – retinol, collagen, amino acids, ceremides, vitamins as well as AHAs. Consider applying anti-aging eye cream that treats fine lines around the eyes.
40s
At 40 you should begin using night anti-wrinkle cream that treats deeper lines and wrinkles, prevents puffiness and sagging of the skin. Look for a cream that contains collagen, retinol, Ceremides, peptides, lipids panthenol, copper, soy extract, essential oils and vitamins.

The needle and mirror work done on Sindhi topi is popular all over Pakistan and people of all cultures like to possess it is not a part of National Pakistani dresses.
Punjab has evolved the most in term of Pakistani dresses. The traditional clothing of Punjab used to be Lacha (Lower part of the dress, without any partition for legs), and Paranda (a colourful piece of accessory which women used to weave into their hair). Today, we see these only in some formal demonstration of cultural Pakistani dresses.
