Be it rugged and fierce or trim and trendy, a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do. In doing so, men need to ensue appearance checks to make sure that they’re looking absolutely tip top. Is your hair waxed or are you using serum? Is that an aftershave balm or is that moisturizer? That’s a nice jacket, where’d you get it from? Some every day questions that you may or may not want to be asked. How do you make sure that you’re the best looking of the lot? Here are a few tips on how to have all eyes glued to you as not only a man of style, outstanding appearance dressed in impeccable clothing, but as one of those well groomed gentlemen.
Every time you step out of the shower, make sure you spend more than just a moment in front of the mirror paying attention to your scalp or whatever grows on it. If you fancy some hair, then make sure you style it up with just a tad bit of hair wax. Avoid much in the summers as it may drench down with your sweat. If you have a bald scalp, that does save you time and money on the conditioner but you’re still recommended with moisturizing the scalp preferably with oil. We all do realize that our head is the epitome of our appearance.
Men must suit up according to the genre of the social event. But be it at the bar or your every evening jog, it is highly recommended that you adorn proper clothes. Neatly tied laces, a clean pair of shoes and trousers that don’t slip down your heels are some of the painless suggestions. The pinnacle to a well groomed gentleman is his outward appearance that is complemented by the clothing that one chooses to wear.
It is essential that a well groomed gentlemen is well styled. It must be maintained that an original is the one that shines the brightest. So in context of talking, walking, manners and style men must work in accord with the latest trend in styling and fashion as well as keep a slight tab on the news just to make sure they’ve got something to talk about when they get the ladies attention. Men’s grooming is the limelight of the male fashion and model industry. Not only do well groomed gentlemen have their way with the ladies, but a man with style and outstanding appearance, might just land himself a job as well.

Trends for Pakistani Fashion Dresses this Summer 2011

With every new season, we see our designers bringing something new for our wardrobes. Pakistani fashion dresses have gained an ever evolving quality for the past few years and we see women racing to keep their wardrobes up-to-date in accordance with the latest fashion. This year we see a lot of 60s and 70s fashion making a re-appearance in the market.
Anarkali Umbrella Frock dress: This frock has been named on the famous dancer “Anarkali”. It is usually worn with “churdar pajama” which is a skin tight extra long trouser and this season we also see skin fitted extra long sleeves along with this fashion. Usually bright colors are used for Anarkali umbrella frock and it is fitted from waist and hips while the bottom is flared like an umbrella frock. This dress looks amazing on casual get-togethers.
A-Line shirt: A Line Shirts are into Pakistani fashion since last year, A-line shirts with wide ‘daaman’ look more feminine and alluring and they are more into Pakistani Fashion trends this year with churidar pajama.
Panelled Shirt: Shirts with panels in different colors, prints and embroidery have also been included in Pakistani fashion dresses.  Panels are used in different style, some starting from shoulder, others in a triangular shape and yet others in various different styles. This trend can be used in various creative ways.
Straight-Loose kurtas: Fitted shirts are almost out of the scene in Pakistani fashion this year. Elegant loose Kurtas with “Shirwani collars” and round buttons are one of the most decent trends of the year. Light colors are adopted for summers like Tea Pink, summer blue, light yellow to give the kurtas a cool summer feel. Churidar Pajama are yet again combined with these.
Kaftan/Poncho: Ponchos are also a part of Pakistani Fashion dresses this year. Kaftan, in light and dark colors, with embroidery and hand prints, in chiffons and summer stuffs, is another extremely elegant fashion trend of the year. This is another trend for formal use.
Culotts: Loose trousers have still not gone out of fashion because of the extreme liking of women. And they will still be here in Pakistani fashion dresses for summer 2011.
Boat shaped necks: This is another old fashion which has been revived this year. Necks which are less in depth but more in width are called boat-shaped and we see this trend gaining acceptance in Pakistani fashion dresses this year. It looks graceful and stylish.
Let’s now have a look at some of the trends which are NOT “in” Pakistani Fashion.
Patiala: Patiala shalwars have completely disappeared from Pakistani fashion dresses. As long shirts came in, Patiala went out.
Short Shirts: Short shirts are also not IN any more. Whether it’s a Kurta, Frock or an A-line shirt, long lengths are what we are concerned with.
Short Sleeves: Long churidaar sleeves are IN now and short sleeves, sleeve less and half sleeves have gone out.
Fitted Kameez: Fitted shirts are replaced with loose frocks and Kurtas.

Good matching key to today's fashion: Italian expert

- What do a Richmond skirt and a pair of Zara pants have in common? In the current fashion world, "good matching" is the key, a renowned Italian fashion entrepreneur told Xinhua in an interview Tuesday.
Speaking of the just-concluded Milan Fashion Week Men's Spring/Summer 2012, Saverio Moschillo, whose group owns international top brands and boasts 24  showrooms worldwide, said the ability to pair expensive items of clothing with more inexpensive pieces is what it takes today to be an "up-to-date" man.
"Though catwalks showed more rigid standards in the past, a globalized society exists now where fashion lovers can pick their best choices among a large variety of styles, according to their tastes, personality and -- not last -- their income," he said.
In this way, a top-brand pair of jeans can be worn with a cheaper T-shirt, and a nice but not too expensive skirt can be paired with a chic and expensive jacket, Moschillo said.
What is most important in such a complex world is "being able to interpret one's role," -- in other words, "behaving properly in the right place at the right time, with courage and sacrifice," he said.
This is exactly how Moschillo, who is also the vice chairman of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, set out at the beginning of his career.
"When I was only a student, the father of a friend of mine, who was a fashion salesman, took me by chance to a meeting with a client," he recalled.
As they arrived earlier than expected, the salesman decided to take a nap and asked Moschillo to wake him up after a while.
"But he was sleeping so soundly that I didn't dare to wake him up. I met the client instead and we did great business," he said.
The Western world, however, is now going through difficult times, he said.
"Italy does not enjoy anymore the optimistic atmosphere of some thirty years ago, nor the huge opportunities of the time I was young," Moschillo said.
Yet the fashion world, he added, is what still makes the so-called "made in Italy" -- which can be defined as entirely designed and produced in the Mediterranean country -- something that is universally loved.
In Italy, the entrepreneur said, the fashion world records a yearly turnover of 65 billion euros (93 billion U.S. dollars).
"In 2010, exports of the sector increased by 17 percent from the previous year, and they are expected to grow by 35 percent next year," he said.
Therefore it is a real shame that fashion companies are not paying enough attention to nurturing talents anymore, Moschillo said, as "young talents represent the future of 'made in Italy' as well as of the entire country."
Moschillo is trying his personal best to promote future fashion talent: In the Milan headquarters, the fashion entrepreneur is striving to help talented designers enter the fashion world.

Clothing fashions

Early Western travelers, whether to Persia, Turkey or China frequently remark on the absence of changes in fashion there, and observers from these other cultures comment on the unseemly pace of Western fashion, which many felt suggested an instability and lack of order in Western culture. The Japanese Shogun's secretary boasted (not completely accurately) to a Spanish visitor in 1609 that Japanese clothing had not changed in over a thousand years.[2] However in Ming China, for example, there is considerable evidence for rapidly changing fashions in Chinese clothing.[3] Changes in costume often took place at times of economic or social change (such as in ancient Rome and the medieval Caliphate), but then a long period without major changes followed. This occurred in Moorish Spain from the 8th century, when the famous musician Ziryab introduced sophisticated clothing-styles based on seasonal and daily timings from his native Baghdad and his own inspiration to Córdoba in Al-Andalus.[4][5] Similar changes in fashion occurred in the Middle East from the 11th century, following the arrival of the Turks, who introduced clothing styles from Central Asia and the Far East.[6]
The beginnings of the habit in Europe of continual and increasingly rapid change in clothing styles can be fairly reliably dated to the middle of the 14th century, to which historians including James Laver and Fernand Braudel date the start of Western fashion in clothing.[7][8] The most dramatic manifestation was a sudden drastic shortening and tightening of the male over-garment, from calf-length to barely covering the buttocks, sometimes accompanied with stuffing on the chest to look bigger. This created the distinctive Western male outline of a tailored top worn over leggings or trousers.

Marie Antoinette was a fashion icon
The pace of change accelerated considerably in the following century, and women and men's fashion, especially in the dressing and adorning of the hair, became equally complex and changing. Art historians are therefore able to use fashion in dating images with increasing confidence and precision, often within five years in the case of 15th century images. Initially changes in fashion led to a fragmentation of what had previously been very similar styles of dressing across the upper classes of Europe, and the development of distinctive national styles. These remained very different until a counter-movement in the 17th to 18th centuries imposed similar styles once again, mostly originating from Ancien Régime France.[9] Though the rich usually led fashion, the increasing affluence of early modern Europe led to the bourgeoisie and even peasants following trends at a distance sometimes uncomfortably close for the elites—a factor Braudel regards as one of the main motors of changing fashion.[10]

Albrecht Dürer's drawing contrasts a well turned out bourgeoise from Nuremberg (left) with her counterpart from Venice. The Venetian lady's high chopines make her taller
Ten 16th century portraits of German or Italian gentlemen may show ten entirely different hats, and at this period national differences were at their most pronounced, as Albrecht Dürer recorded in his actual or composite contrast of Nuremberg and Venetian fashions at the close of the 15th century (illustration, right). The "Spanish style" of the end of the century began the move back to synchronicity among upper-class Europeans, and after a struggle in the mid 17th century, French styles decisively took over leadership, a process completed in the 18th century.[11]
Though colors and patterns of textiles changed from year to year,[12] the cut of a gentleman's coat and the length of his waistcoat, or the pattern to which a lady's dress was cut changed more slowly. Men's fashions largely derived from military models, and changes in a European male silhouette are galvanized in theatres of European war, where gentleman officers had opportunities to make notes of foreign styles: an example is the "Steinkirk" cravat or necktie.
The pace of change picked up in the 1780s with the increased publication of French engravings that showed the latest Paris styles; though there had been distribution of dressed dolls from France as patterns since the 16th century, and Abraham Bosse had produced engravings of fashion from the 1620s. By 1800, all Western Europeans were dressing alike (or thought they were): local variation became first a sign of provincial culture, and then a badge of the conservative peasant.[13]
Although tailors and dressmakers were no doubt responsible for many innovations before, and the textile industry certainly led many trends, the history of fashion design is normally taken[by whom?] to date from 1858, when the English-born Charles Frederick Worth opened the first true[weasel words] haute couture house in Paris. Since then the professional designer has become a progressively more dominant figure, despite the origins of many fashions in street fashion. For women the flapper styles of the 1920s marked the most major alteration in styles for several centuries, with a drastic shortening of skirt lengths, and much looser-fitting clothes; with occasional revivals of long skirts forms of the shorter length have remained dominant ever since. The four major current fashion capitals are acknowledged to be Milan, New York City, Paris, and London. Fashion weeks are held in these cities, where designers exhibit their new clothing collections to audiences, and which are all headquarters to the greatest fashion companies and are renowned for their major influence on global fashion.
Modern Westerners have a wide choice available in the selection of their clothes. What a person chooses to wear can reflect that person's personality or likes. When people who have cultural status start to wear new or different clothes a fashion trend may start. People who like or respect them may start to wear clothes of a similar style.
Fashions ,may vary considerably within a society according to age, social class, generation, occupation, and geography as well as over time. If, for example, an older person dresses according to the fashion of young people, he or she may look ridiculous in the eyes of both young and older people. The terms fashionista and fashion victim refer to someone who slavishly follows current fashions.
One can regard the system of sporting various fashions as a fashion language incorporating various fashion statements using a grammar of fashion. (Compare some of the work of Roland Barthes.)
