Men's New Fashion Trends

It's always great to mix trendy pieces with more classic looks to give you the perfect look that always looks up-to-date. Color is big for men this season (I love colored interesting shirts of all kinds), as are relaxed chic looks (like relaxed suits), etc.

Accessories that are hot are really simple: well kept shoes. It's one of the first things people notice, so always make sure the shoes are right and clean. Here's something I like to do. Instead of looking at celebs, I check out various magazines and advertising and check out different looks I like (for You GQ, Cargo) and then get shopping!

If you are wondering why some of today's most sophisticated men's stores - Polo Ralph Lauren, Bergdorf Goodman Men, Barneys New York - are stocked with enough hard-core color to resemble the team uniform section of a sporting goods shop, well, perhaps that's fitting. Color has become practically a contact sport.

Mens wear Bright New Look In the last few seasons, many men have developed a major passion for sharply tailored suits and brightly patterned dress shirts, snapping up $200 Etros by the half-dozen. But this spring, in the eternal game of one-upmanship known as fashion, the look has been taken to a new extreme. Solidly colored pants, sweaters and blazers - in tangerine, lemon, viridian, magenta, royal blue - have raised the stakes, and some men are, to retailers' surprise, taking the bet.

Retailers report that traditional two-button cotton sport coats and pinwale corduroys struck by a lightning bolt of color have become some of the hottest sellers of the season. And in a rare meeting of minds, old-school retailers like Paul Stuart are sharing a design aesthetic with edge-of-fashion lines like Burberry Prorsum and Duckier Brown.

"The first thing that blew out of Barneys was all the color," said Daniel Silver, a partner in Duckier Brown. "When we were designing it we were thinking: 'It's so bright. Are guys really going to buy this?' But they have. It's like someone knocked down the wall between his and hers closets."

The trend has obvious appeal to men who want an easy new way to express a bold streak. But it has an august precedent as well, in the late, great NBC peacock, Johnny Carson. In 1973, when country clubs swarmed with pants and blazers of every hue, Carson's own fashion line was the best-selling men's tailored clothing line in the country, according to Homi Patel, the chief executive of Hartmarx, which owns the line. In 1973 alone, 80,000 electric blue sport coats (with five-inch lapels!) were sold.

Unlike many looks with roots in the past, this one is a study in jarring contrasts. It has both the edge and cheek of early 80's New York, when Day-Glo color fueled the New Wave scene, and the ease and entitlement of an early 70's Republican enclave in Palm Springs.

"The roots are in that country club thing," said Joe Zee, the editor of the men's wear magazine Vitals. "The edge is in its conservative aspect." Striped shirts and plaid jackets can play into a conservative look, but solid colors, Mr. Zee suggested, are bolder. "Men are more used to pattern," he said. "So a pink striped shirt is easier for a lot of guys than an all-pink shirt. That's a more specific fashion statement."

No sector has taken up the call to color more than the hip-hop world, in which dandies like Usher, Farnsworth Bentley and Andre 3000 of OutKast (hard at work on a fashion line called Benjamin) will wear, and combine, the splashiest of colors. "You have urban rappers from Nelly to Puffy saying, 'I can wear this without being a sissy,' " Mr. Zee said.

Chris Chambers, a dapper vice president for publicity at BMG Music, feels the pull. "There's definitely a mixture of an urban thing with classic country club." he said. "I'll wear the pink Ralph Lauren blazer but maybe not with the white slacks they show. I'll wear it with some Evisu jeans and a cool sneaker."

Still, it takes guts. "I think a solid bold color looks fresh, but you have to have a level of confidence for it," Mr. Chambers said. What makes the look less brash and more appealing, he said, is its history as the onetime uniform of 19th-hole golfers everywhere.

Ross Geisel, a Manhattan fund-raiser, has taken a shine to color because of its associations with a life of gentlemanly ease. "I can get away with wearing it to work, and then if you go out afterward, you don't look like you came from the office," Mr. Geisel said.

Another reason he likes extreme color is that there are so few rules about wearing it. That, he maintains, makes it easier, not harder to dress. "It doesn't matter what you do," he said. "I have a loud pink shirt on today with a corduroy chocolate brown blazer. I can wear it spring, summer or fall, with any shoe I want."

Following The Girls Fashion Trends

Girls in their teens and in college are inundated with fashion from their friends and acquaintances. One can say they are immersed in fashion and have to be very fashion conscious to not appear out of touch and to decide what to wear every day.

Here is some advice to help those girls keep up to date with the latest fashion trends.

There are different styles that come out every year. Most designers release at least two collections per year, during fall and spring, while others release four collections - one for every new season. It is really tough being sharp on all those new things considering the different styles that are introduced with all those new collections. Besides, not all styles fit all people.

Even though you would love to wear a particular outfit that looked really good on the model on the runway, it might look pretty odd and out of place when you wear it. The first key to narrowing down your focus is to zoom in on those collections and styles that fit your particular height, weight, and personality type.

If you want to be on the safe side, select one of the classic styles. They rarely go out of fashion. However, girls don't always like wearing classic clothes so, how can they always be in fashion? A simple way to make girls fashion work for you is to choose from a collection that suits you best. For example, if a particular color suits your skin tone best, you can wear a top of that color with jeans or black pants, which dont have to be from the same collection.

Accessorizing is another clever way of keeping up with the latest girls fashion without even having to wear clothes from the latest trends. Work with your body's strong and weak point, and select accessories that will enhance your best features. Nobody is perfect. You need to hide your flaws and enhance your good features, just like those seemingly perfect models that grace the catwalks of the fashion world.

A belt, scarf, hair clips or shoes can make all the difference in looking like an out of touch cave dweller and a hip fashion-conscious urban girl.

Make sure that you know what works for you and then find the fashion news sources that cover new collections and styles that suit you specifically. That way you can always be up to date with the latest girl fashion without suffering from information overload.

Want to keep up with the fashion trends

As a famous person once said, fashion doesnt have to do with clothes only, but we can find it everywhere, in our ideas, in the way we lead our lives or in everything thats happening around us. Fashion changes constantly and throughout the years, almost everything in our appearance that could experience change has already been changed Skirts are a very good example, their length going from so short that it hardly covers anything to up to the ankle. And what was once fashionable soon turned into unfashionable, and what was old quickly became new again. All of these fashion trends are inherent and they go as fast as they came. A certain style or action turns into a fashion trend when people copy it or try to follow it. Fashion trends become popular very quickly, but their loss of popularity is quite dramatic. The very essence of fashion trends is here today, gone tomorrow, so anything else that lasts longer and is eventually absorbed by society and turned into an everyday feature will no longer be a fashion trend.

Fashion trends come and go. If youre a fashion victim, youll always have to be trendy. But being in accordance with the latest fashion trends is not always an easy task , not to mention the fact that chances are you wont always look your best when youre trying to be trendy. Everything looks great on models, but this doesnt mean it will do the same magic for you. The best advice anyone could give you is to try to develop your own sense of style or at least try to choose from among the various styles that are already out there. After all, this is the fashion designers job and they do it very well. You can go for original garments or garments created according to pre-established fashion trends. All of these are high fashion and may be a little out of reach for you. What you can try is mass market design produced by retailers, which doesnt come with a very impressive price tag. Whatever your choice may be, you have to keep one thing in mind, a well-dressed person always gets a second look. Your social and personal life will experience nothing but improvement if you have a strong sense of fashion and of the fashion trends.

One of the fashion designers that will always offer you products which keep up with the latest fashion trends is Zara, which is a part of a very fast growing retailer in the world. Their policy is to be competitive whilst maintaining affordable prices. The secrets of Zaras success were the transfer of production to countries where the costs of production are low and the very unusual strategy of virtually no advertising. Zara chose to invest the money they would have spent with advertising for their products in opening new stores all over the world. Their stores can be found in all the important commercial areas from the big cities in America , Europe and Asia.

Any of Zaras clients will experience the pleasure of buying clothes that keep up with the latest fashion trends. At Zara, the policy is to put the demands of the clients at the top of the priority list and be very closely related to the public. The clients wishes are quickly passed on to the creative professionals, and they make these demands come true.

Zara claims that the whole process of creating of a new product and launching it on the market only takes them two weeks and that, therefore, they are able to present thousands of new designs every year.

As far as their products are concerned, by always considering their clients wishes and demands, Zara follows the fashion trends that the society itself creates, at its own pace. No matter the difference among people or cultures, Zara will always be a success among those who have a thing for fashion. As a very famous designer said about Zara, they are of one of worlds most innovative retailer.

If you have not updated your wardrobe yet, its perfect time to start putting away the heavy, drab winter clothes and dress up yourself in light and bright colors. So what are you thinking for? This summer comes with colors like white, grey, navy blue; browns are reassured and warm with violet tones.
Active sports wear, dancer’s workout clothes are the inspiration behind “Get Sporty collection”. Marni’s close-fitting jackets were teamed with cropped and stripped leggings. • The designers like Thakoon, Rodarte, and Alexander McQueen seems to be inspired with beauty of roses and peonies this summer. The romantic vision is blossomed with lots of structured dresses, tops and gowns. • Eighteen century’s influence is coming back in 2007 with a punk feel. The feminine silhouette is getting large with eminent volume and layers with a couture-like aristocratic and royal appeal. • Swingy shape dresses and skirts are comfortable to wear in summer. The inspiration came from Yves Saint Laurent’s collection of 1958. • Golden and silver looks have gained importance in this season. This season group of fashion designers has not forgotten to use golden, pewter, and coppers colors in slinky dresses, coats, bags and shoes. • With some of these dresses in summer collection you need not wear jewelry as they come with embedded jewelry. Like, an outfit with jeweled neckline avoids the need to wear a necklace. Colors: Summer has come up with light colors. White is key color of the season. Colors like grey, navy blue have been used to give glamorous look. Bright colors have come back with red-orange and fuchsia. Cool, neutrals will always find a place in your summer wardrobes.Outfits:The baggy look dresses had been welcomed this season. I feel big, loose-fitting separates can be worn by both slim and slightly overweight women. You can put on perhaps a hat or chunky bracelet with your dress. I hope you will like it. This summer the length of blouses are little bit longer. It is an inch below navel and covers half of hips. For your second or third date you may wear black and white print border shift dress. The black and white combination doesn’t look contrast but it moved softer and transformed into shady grey and off white. In these sunny days black string bikini is funky and easy to wear. These simple sun dresses are perfect for the soaring temperatures without sacrificing style and fashion. So it’s time to brush up your cabinet with some sporty, romantic, and sophisticated dresses. Have fun, be creative, and shine this season with these great outfits.

Fashion trends for women autumn winter

This season neutral colours highlighted with bold colours is the biggest style trend. This creates a chic minimalist look but give you room to be feminine and playful and creative with your personality. This season will see new and interesting colour combinations, so be bold and have fun!

The most important thing in fashion is to take what is on the catwalks and adapt it to your own style, and to the occasion. An easy and cost effective way to do this is with jewellery. Here are some hints and tips to accenting your own style with this seasons trends.

For the smart/casual look, which gives you the most individual choice as to whether to wear a dress or trouser suit and offers you many colours and styles, go for autumn neutral colours, for example moss green, grey-blue, or this seasons biggest colour a gentle violet. For a more striking look go monochrome or layer different textures of black, or warm coffee browns offer a gentler alternative to black.

If you have seen a particular colour on the catwalk that you like but feel is too overpowering for you then take it and add it to your neutrals in the form of jewellery. Purple and turquoise are the two of the most widely seen colours this season so go for a turquoise broach instead of the full coloured dress or a set of matching earrings and necklace.

For a cocktail party, where the cocktail dress can be your opportunity to take advantage of the bold colours. Turquoise suits all skin tones, purple can be used in any shade this season so pick on to suit you. To stand out from the crowd chili red or a bold flower pattern dress.

When accessorizing go for a simple, elegant chocker and matching earrings. Or a broach and cocktail ring. The important thing here is to let the dress shine on its own, keep the jewellery understated.

The classic dress, retro forties/fifties glamour is for the black tie do. Either tone down a bright dress with clear crystal or add a splash of colour to a black or neutral dress. Go for the matching set of jewellery to create a complete film star look.

The white tie occasion is your chance to go for all out glitz and glamour. Again the complete jewellery set and vintage fashion works well. Hair should be pinned up and extra long earrings worn for elegance. A large ring and large pendant to add sparkle. When wearing a V-neck mirror this with a V or Y shaped necklace, a chocker is also elegant or, if not wearing a necklace a broach at the base of the V will add colour or sparkle.

A strapless dress provides a blanc canvass for a large necklace which can be bold or glitzy or for long chandelier earrings. Pick up the detail with a crystal bracelet or broach. A short chocker or very long necklace suits a square neckline and again long earrings. Thin straps can be matched with delicate jewellery.

A round neck suits a large broach or extra long necklace. Go for lady-like chic especially with a polo neck, a round pearl necklace will match the shape beautifully. Lastly, for an asymmetric neckline don't wear a necklace at all, instead go for a bold pair of earrings or bracelet.

Do we need to follow fashion trends

Renato Palmi from The ReDress Consultancy-South Africa asks if following trends is a good practice for young South African fashion designers.
Seasonal change cues fashion media editors to present the public with "must-have" and "no-no" listings, which, no matter how individualistic or judicious we might think we are, subtly compel us to reconsider the stock in our private wardrobes.
In these times of economic strain and budget adjustments, does "fitting in" with rapidly changing fashion cycles not pose challenges to designers and consumers alike? Are we prisoners of fashion dictates, or could we consider co-creating new looks with minimal expense? How can local fashion designers sustain themselves by working around and within global and local market forces?
Through aggressive marketing, our individual identity can become effaced by homogenised clothing, a veneer that suggests we are part of a recognisable whole. Trend forecasters, retailers and brand conglomerates launching new styles, fabrics, cuts and colours stoke the coals of peer pressure that conditions us to be seen in the latest ranges. As social beings, we are construed as a collective commodity travelling in a continuum of design renovation that is dictated by a few but embraced by the masses, often with little thought to suitability or personal imagination.
Being seen in the right brand wearing the "in" label of a particular designer neutralises our individuality and leads to a contradiction of the purpose of fashion: individual style portraying human uniqueness; instead, we become fashion clones.
By conforming to seasonal trends, are we not impeding the innovation and growth of young fashion designers emerging in the market? There are a few designers who have created distinctive aesthetics and have steadily built a brand following. These looks are not confined to the examples seen on catwalks at Fashion Weeks events; idiosyncratic, semi-mass-produced, wearable garments are also available.
The old saying, "catch them when they are young" can be applied to fashion education. For example, when experts visit fashion colleges and advise students on the latest European trends - as if these are the unassailably essential forms of good design and as such, critical to design success - are we not diluting their imaginative resources?
Both student and established designers are required to be in touch with global fashion directions, but is it a prerequisite to emulate these trends without any re-interpretation? The colours for 2009 are, according to the style forecasters, moving away from metallic finishes to a more earthy, subdued colour palette; ripped denim might resurge, and for younger women, appropriation of men's jeans (known as "The Boyfriend Jeans") will be in vogue and Deep-V-T-shirts and jerseys could be the 2009 new style for men.
We need to respect the genius of our learner designers, and support them in steering away from reliance on European trends. This information is available for reference, so rather than delivering lectures on trend templates, their curricula should cover instruction in sourcing, assimilating, and interpreting the data, with a view to redefining trends in the local context and according to their own design sensibilities.
Upcoming generations of South African designers can consult a wealth of historical fashion approaches to inspire new nuances for their ranges, not only through their designs but by the way they market and retail their creations. It is my sense that the edicts filtering down to young designers and into the consumer psyche of what can or cannot be worn should be challenged. It is time for fashion revolution and evolution.

Old Fashions get a new look

"Fashion" the term itself stands for glamour and attitude. Do the fashion trends keep changing? Or they just rotate? The 80's style which was fag few years back is now the so called 'new' style statement. But is it really new? The churidar or leggings as we call them and body hugging tops are back in fashion now. So are we really moving towards new style statements or it just repetition of our old trends with some modifications.

For example, women's shorts and top worn by Bollywood stars in late 80's, started all together a Bobby era, and today in 2011 they are back with certain variation, we call them hot pants now. Zeenat Aman sported big butterfly shades in early 90's, and that style is back in latest trend, today those shades have become a must thing in every girls hand bag.

So the point is, are we actually innovating in terms of fashion and trends or we are just going back in time all over again & again? Be it the very famous Retro look, or Patiyala, its coming back and staying for long.

But yes there are certain noticeable changes too, people have become more sensitive towards dressing up; office-wear, casuals, party wear, day dresses, and so on. There is segmentation for each clothing line; 'availability' being major factor for this. Anything and everything is available in market these days. From accessories to shoes to bags, you name it & you have it. Ample designs, colours, size are available at not only the physical stores but also with the online ones. This generation believes in being first to flaunt the latest trends. And they are ready to experiment with colours, pattern & style for that. Any new launch has to be with them as soon as it goes online. This is where online shopping portals come into picture. In countries like India, people were not comfortable with the idea of online shopping, physical touch & trial being the main constrain. But now more and more youngsters prefer online shopping over the usual ones for the very fact its latest, fast and more choices are available. More and more International brands are offering online order system on their website. This makes these Brands available at every corner of the globe without physically having store or any outlet.

Talking about new trends in fashion, Innovation is necessary now, may be that's the reason people are moving to designer wears more than towards shopping malls. People today want more than Bollywood trend or trends that are coming back in rotation. They need individual attention, they wish to posses' clothes, bags, and shoes etc which are exclusive and customized to suit their attitude & personality. That's the reason instead of buying from regular brands; people have an urge for exclusivity. There are so many designer wears & accessories available these days that it's not that difficult to find something unique and stylish. Plus the internet has erased all the boundaries, so now sitting home one can access all National, International Brands, designer brands from across the world with just one click.

You can simply make your Eid dress attractive by detailed embroideries on neck and sleeves along with ham-line with the combinational colors.

If you are choosing bright color fabric for your Eid dress, try to go for embroideries and embellishments of lighter tone. The use of bright colors will look most stylish with the black base fabric.
