The Tie Trend 2010

Summer seems to move with its gradual pace offering variety of trends and styles in men’s fashion. Among those fashionable trends is the Tie Trend 2010. For men, ties teach the art of being a perfect man in this sun-abundant season.
Neckties are all in the rage during the summer tie trend 2010. Tie make you a true gentleman and are a must part of office accessories.
Popular Neckties for spring and summer are in bright colours and patterns are much simpler and bold that give men a very smart and bold look. The simplestripes solid colour ties and classic foulards are most popular demand of tie trend 2010.
Tie trend 2010 brings forward ‘Persimmon Orange’ tie in bright persimmon orange. The narrow white stripes on this tie add a nice textured look and give the tie a trendy "business look". Even though this tie is brand new of collection it is already on the way to become one of our best selling wedding ties for the spring and summer. Although popular at weddings it is still a perfect choice for businessdress. When going to the office, this tie is paired best with a grey or navy suit and a solid white dress shirt.
Another amazing tie trend 2010 is a ‘Striped tie in Lime and Purple'
This necktie is becoming a best seller and creates a very diverse impact on men’s dressing style. Although, we have never seen a bright lime green colour in combination with purple in tie but this tie works wonders. It is a necktie that is made for the sunny day. This tie will add enough colour, to any suit and therefore it is suggested that you wear this tie with solid white dress shirt and light grey suit. For those brave enough to show more colour: Pair this tie with light lavender colour dress shirt, navy-blue check pattern suit, brown shoes, and a matching brown belt - a look that will turn heads anywhere you go.
Another new and latest tie trend 2010, is ‘Teal & Navy Striped Tie’
Which is perfect for this summer. If you think that the two ties above are too bright for you, then go for this turquoise-teal and navy striped tie. The navy-blue stripes are woven into the fabric. They have a thick look and feel - adding nice texture to the fabric. This tie looks best when worn with suits in grey or navy. Our pick for this tie: Solid white dress shirtnavy-blue pin stripes suitblack shoes and matching black belt. This necktie is made from a fabric called micro-fiber. It is a man-made material that is almost identical to silk. It has brilliant shine, a soft feel, excellent drape, but is also stain resistant and does not wrinkle.
Latest tie trend 2010 includes wearing scarves also, which are a great way to cover up without adding a lot of bulk or heat to your outfit. You can wear them for a rainy day or on a cool summer evening.

J.Crew Sterling-Silver Tie Clip

THE ASKMEN TAKE

Put a twist on all your spring ensembles by finishing off a cool look with an even cooler accessory. Not strictly just a functional device to keep your tie on the straight and narrow, this J.Crew Sterling-silver tie clip is also a stylish piece in and of itself, particularly when paired with a funky tie and a half-sleeve, casual button-down. Essentially, whenever you’re considering wearing a tie, be it for fun or for a formal event, no outfit will be complete without a sleek tie clip, such as the J.Crew Sterling-silver tie clip, this spring.

78 UNIQUENESS

Pick up on this burgeoning trend now and you’ll seem like you’ve really got your finger on the pulse of style. To be really unique, consider getting this particular model engraved with something personal or even downright naughty on the back -- it’ll be your (barely concealed) secret. To really stand apart in the style department, make sure you don’t just wear your J.Crew Sterling-silver tie clip with a suit and dress shirt; experiment with all manners of casual apparel, like a button-up and tie combo underneath a track jacket or hoodie, and teamed with relaxed bottoms like jeans or shorts.

DURABILITY

At $85, the J.Crew Sterling-silver tie clip is a bit expensive for a small piece of metal. However, this must-have spring accessory should last you a lifetime, making it a worthy investment. Yes, it may come and go as a trend item, but be assured it will always come back and it won’t take up much room in your closet. To ensure the longevity of this piece, keep it in a box or resealable bag when you’re not wearing it to prevent tarnishing. When it’s looking a little discolored, wash it with warm soap and water, or try a rust-busting mix of 1 cup warm water, a dash of ammonium chloride and a 1/2 teaspoon of dish soap.

Urban Outfitters Ivy Hat

 THE ASKMEN TAKE

Collegiate-cool saw a return to men’s fashion with ivy league-inspired apparel turning up in several major menswear shows for fall and at New York Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2010collections. Think emblazoned jackets, stripes and lots of plaid. Made of soft wool and polyester, the Urban Outfitters Ivy Hat is an ideal way to try out the trend in a non-committal way. Wear it with oxford shirts, a blazer or corduroys. The only rule to remember is to avoid going preppy head to toe. Avoid a too-perfect look by combining this hat with a crumpled oxford and some seriously distressed jeans, for example.

UNIQUENESS

Picking up a new hat is always a great way to add quirk to your ensembles as well as showcase the latest trends in a way that won’t make it seem like you live for fashion. With splashes of blue, red and yellow on a black-and-white background, this hat will pair well with most other pieces in your wardrobe, particularly light-hued dress shirts or dark T-shirts.

Additionally, the super short brim on this cap gives it a very of-the-moment feel, and though you certainly won’t be the only one sporting this style this season, the plaid pattern ensures you (and your outfit) will be more memorable. On a practical level, a woven lining and wool exterior provides some insulation for your head on those early fall days when it’s not yet time to break out your tuque, but you’re starting to feel a bit of a nip in the air.

DURABILITY

Because the Urban Outfitters Ivy Hat is made from wool, you can’t just throw it in the washing machine. To keep it in good repair, you’ll be relegated to spot-cleaning; however, unless you experience an unfortunate accident with a pigeon, you probably won’t need to tidy your hat at all this fall. Come winter, you won’t be wearing it, so place it somewhere it won’t get too dusty because you’ll want to break it out again in spring 2010 when the preppy trend will still be going strong.

Expect a lifespan of about two years from this hat, though you shouldn’t necessarily count on keeping it past next spring if you want your look to remain current. Fortunately, this hat comes with a price tag everyone can accept. Even if you choose to only wear it for one season, or that pigeon happens to ruin it before next spring, you will definitely have got your money’s worth.

Umit Benan Spring-Summer Fashion 2012 Collection For Men – Latest Benan Spring-Summer Fashion Trends 2012 For Men: Style delivers looks from Umit Benan’s Spring/Summer 2012 men’s collection. Tim Blanks comes through with his thoughts.
“Those who remembered the eighties might have recognized the oversize shirts and high-waisted, three-pleat pants (those who remembered Benan’s Fall presentation would have recognized them, too). They also might have noted something familiar about the big windowpane checks, the casual jackets with sleeves pushed up”

The economy still stinks, we’re still short on cash , and even mass market stores are suffering. Which is why every retail store is working their butt off to lure us and our wallets back into their stores with creative ad campaigns.

Kmart is now promoting their in-house clothing line with voyeuristic photos of “real people” in the vein of American Apparel ads, but far less racy. WWD is reporting that many of these men and women were scouted on the streets of New York, while others are bloggers and indie designers. They all styled themselves for a photoshoot at The Mark Hotel in NYC and posed without much direction from photographers. The results are pretty awesome, and may take the store in a whole new, stylish direction.

“We want to get out the message that we have amazing fashion,” Tara Poseley, senior vice president and president of Kmart apparel at Sears Holdings Corp told WWD . She says their target audience is “the kind of person who has fun with fashion but isn’t a slave to it. It’s the type of person who doesn’t care about labels, but rather, about expressing his or her own style.” With that in mind, Kmart’s new tagline, which we love, is “Money can’t buy style.”

Meanwhile, Zara, the Spanish retailer who excels at affordable takes on high fashion, has launched a new street style campaign as well called People! . They’re asking for submissions of anyone wearing at least 2 items from Zara’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection. Upload your photo to Zara and they will choose a batch of user looks each week to highlight on their website. If your photo is chosen, you’ll receive 300€ (or $425) for your contribution. They’re wrapping up this season’s street style campaign, but starting in September they’ll be uploading Fall collection photos, so get ready to strike a pose.

Do you like the idea of seeing "real people" (potentially even you) pose for big stores like Kmart and Zara instead of models? Check out some of our favorite shots form each store’s campaign in the slideshow.
