Raf Simons Sunglasses Aviator

THE ASKMEN TAKE

Just about every company out there features a set of aviators in their sunglasses line, but few have the style of Raf Simon’s molded plastic frames. They are uniquely dark, wholly urban and above all else, very cool. Are these the future of the aviator look? We think they might be.

UNIQUENESS

While technically aviators, these Raf Simons sunglasses take on a contemporary look that is truly unique. The thick black plastic frames add a masculinity not seen in traditional aviators. The black plastic frames are supported on the head by slim metal arms, a creative dichotomy for what would otherwise be a chunky set of glasses. These particular frames have a very European feel to them: oversize, dark and fresh. While you can walk into any drug store and buy a pair of aviators for under $20, they certainly won’t look like this.

DURABILITY

Like all Raf Simons sunglasses, these modern-day aviators are made in France and feature top-notch lenses. They also feature a very cool Raf Simons hinge where the frame connects with the metal arms. Like all high-end shades, you have no need to worry about physical durability; you are paying for quality. However, if you are looking for a pair of glasses that will last you years andremain in vogue, you may want to look to the more traditional aviator style.
